Louisville Tradeshow and Branding Sale

It’s trade show season and next up is the:

MHVillage is excited to network with our customers and and experience all of the new resources, homes and products our industry has to offer.

Show Information:

For over 50 years, The Louisville Show has distinguished itself as the midwest’s premier event for manufactured housing professionals. As the industry’s largest indoor manufactured housing show, The Louisville Show brings the latest products, services and technology together for more than 1,500 industry professionals representing in excess of 600 companies. Whether you are a community owner or operator, retailer, builder/developer, supplier, or other industry professional, The Louisville Show is the most significant event of the year to observe industry trends, increase your knowledge and network with fellow industry professionals.

The 2017 Louisville Show will treat you to a spectacular array of NEW HOMES, PRODUCTS, AND SERVICES. Whatever your inventory requires, you’re likely to find the most exciting single-section and system-built homes. It will be a feast for the eyes for all of you, with endless possibilities and combinations. It’s also an excellent opportunity to cut great deals; be the first to see new product/home introductions; talk with R&D and marketing execs; compare prices, service, and follow-through…and network with industry professionals.

For more information about the show and how you can attend visit their website:

in other news, we are half way through our Branding Sale on MHVillage!

If you didn’t get a chance to list homes and add this feature, you still have time!

As our gift, you can list homes on the site and then apply the Branding feature free of charge until Feb 28th. After this date the Branding will return to it’s standard pricing. So if you have home inventory you need to list, add them today and then apply the Branding to experience this product with no additional cost until the end of February!

As we mentioned in last month’s newsletter MHVillage experiences a substantial traffic increase in January and then it sets the baseline for the rest of the year.

So list your homes, apply the Branding and enjoy the ride.

See you in Louisville!

‘Tis The Season for Giving & Traffic!

Our Holiday gift this year is Free Branding for New Home Listings until Feb 28th!        (Good on ANY Home Listing that is added to the site).

This is the perfect time to update your Sales Center Page. Then as you list your homes apply our Branding feature via the option provided in the listing process.

This feature (normally $3.00 per home per month) lets you remove all other ads from any new listing and it replaces that space on the page with information automatically pulled from your Sales Center Page. It also shows a link to your website in that area and links to your other listings.

Your account is already set up with this gift, so no need for an AdCode or special link.

All you need to do is list your homes now and apply Branding so you can get the best bang for your buck as our traffic increases throughout  January!

So why is this the perfect time? Starting December 26th, web traffic on MHVillage starts to ramp up!

In this time the traffic on the site will increase to over and above the highest traffic day in the previous summer!

Just like in any other shopping medium consumers will form their own patterns and trends.     As we all know, shopping malls, movie theaters and restaurants all see a huge boost the week up to and during the holiday season. Over at MHVillage we see this same increase the weeks following the holiday season!

Now, we are not implying that December 26th everyone is online looking for their next mobile home. We mean that consistently, traffic increases from that date and then stays that way as we welcome the new year.

Also, this isn’t a traffic spike, it doesn’t shoot up and then shoot back down. It literally begins to ramp up and set the baseline for the rest of the year.

Another fun fact? This happens every single year! So much so, that internally our technical department starts gearing up for this increase in November to be sure we are ready.

So the next question is, are YOU ready?

One of the benefits of the housing market being slower during the holidays, is it can give you time to gear up for the increase in your business too. This when you can be sure you are staffed properly and any home or community maintenance or necessary documentation can be updated and ready to go for your customers. Also, it’s the perfect time to be sure that your online marketing it updated and ready too!

Speaking of online marketing, in the next week, here are 5 things you should do on MHVillage:

    1. Make sure your entire inventory is online. I suggest this one a lot, but it is for a simple reason: more home listings = more leads. Remember, Basic listings are free, so it doesn’t cost you anything to get all your homes up and online.
    2. Make your Sales Center page Pro+. This one will cost you a little extra if you don’t already have a Pro+ account. Once you’ve upgraded your account, be sure and add a link to your logos and website. This will not only allow the MHVillage buyers to click over to your site, it will also help in how your company website shows in Google searches.
    3. If you have a Community, make it a Showcase. Again, this will cost a bit,  but you want to look your best to all the buyers. Also, home shoppers do not need to log in to view Showcased communities, so that means more people are going to see your information.
    4. Review your own website. Once you’ve put links to your site from MHVillage on your listings, Sales Center page and Community, click over and look at your website as a buyer would. Is your website up to date? Is the contact information easy to find? Is there an online form for them to get more information?
    5. Take advantage of our Free Branding until Feb 28th for the homes you add to the site. When you apply this you can completely dominate your listings, removing all other ads and adding all your own information.

As always, If you have any questions give us a call!

Will You be Ready to Take Full Advantage of Special Market Opportunities When They Come Your Way?

From the Louisville Manufactured Housing Show website:

Being ready and fully prepared is one of the critical things you can do to get the “jump” on your competition! Luckily, there’s one unique and easy-to-participate forum where you can gather all your opportunities and combine them with timely insights to create the ultimately successful business strategies for your company.l17showpano-1024x600

The Louisville Manufactured Housing Show is now recognized as the industry’s PREMIER INDOOR MANUFACTURED HOUSING SHOW in the world! In existence for over 50 years, this annual show brings out an array of new home designs, the latest in technology, the best in suppliers’ offerings and a look at all the newest amenities and system-built options the industry offers. There is no other industry forum where you can pull together such a wealth of information in one place to build your blueprint for success. The 2017 Show will be held January 18-19-20.

Being held again at the Kentucky Exposition Center, 57 model homes will be on display, along with an expanded offering of industry seminars, and more than ample time to network with industry contacts and friends.

Last year’s successful show attracted 1571 builder/developers, retailers, community owners/operators, and installers representing 598 different companies. Overall reviews gave us feedback that our exhibitors were extremely pleased with the attendance and traffic flow at the 2016 Show. Sales were made, business was brisk, and the degree of enthusiasm expressed by exhibitors and attendees was most rewarding.

For the upcoming 2017 Show, service companies and suppliers will number in the hundreds. Supplier exhibitors, crucial to our industry, provide vital services and products to the manufactured housing industry. Each year, this group of exhibitors showcases the newest technology, products and services being utilized by our industry,

l17-logo-large200As an added benefit, the 2017 Show will feature a much wider range of educational seminars tailored to provide real learning opportunities that directly improve business strategies and marketing outreach efforts. The educational seminars for the 2017 Show will be expanded from just two days to all three days of the Show, along with moving the seminars so they are held from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. each day. This expansion and revised schedule will result in 6 seminars/workshops during the Show and give attendees more time to visit and see the homes and exhibits, while also providing more meaningful and relevant strategic information to attendees.

The seminars/workshops will also focus on bringing in “more outside-the-industry” experts who can provide really important, strategic information on key initiatives that attendees need to adopt to be more successful in their day-to-day business activities. The seminars will progress from the basics of marketing and advertising on the first day of the Show, to sales and financing strategies on the second day, to the third day’s look at what national issues and trends the industry needs to anticipate and incorporate into its marketplace strategies. The intent of this educational seminar approach is to expand and accelerate industry learning, growth and successes.

The Crowne Plaza Hotel will again serve at the Show headquarters hotel. The Crowne Plaza is located directly across the street from the Kentucky Exposition Center, and is a mere three minutes from the Louisville Airport, There is ample, safe parking at the Kentucky Exposition Center and there could not be a more convenient show site.

Timing is critically important as January is a prime time for The Louisville Show, as builder/developers, retailers, community owners/operators and installers want to place orders and have inventory delivered in time for the early selling season. This schedule allows everyone the time to investigate and compare competing manufacturers and supplier exhibitors.

The Louisville Show will once again use QMS of Alpharetta, GA to facilitate our online registration system. Their web link service provides fast and efficient registration both before and during the Show.

“What all of this means is that the manufactured housing industry must work together to make the Louisville Show a success, including a promotional campaign where all bases are covered, and every prospect contacted. This professional marketing campaign begins months ahead of the Show, and we use all the tactics at our disposal. The five state associations of the Midwest Manufactured Housing Federation will also assist is promoting the Show to their state members. As with last year, we hope you will work with us in promoting this annual event. We saturate the market and our message is always a variation on the same theme…The Louisville Show provides the means to increased profits, greater productivity, and a stronger competitive posture.”

By coming to Louisville, participants can assemble the components of a plan that will overwhelm the competition in the Midwest and help them be the leaders in the region’s manufactured housing industry.

“When you exhibit at Louisville, you will give buyers the luxury of an actual walk-through of your home, service or product in a unique, hands-on environment,” Hill noted. “You will be able to relate to your customer base, understanding their wants and needs, as well as answering on-the-spot questions or concerns. This is a great opportunity for your business to get a grasp on where the future of the industry is headed.”

“It’s critically important to sign up now, because space will be at a premium in a matter of weeks…if not days. The Louisville Show is your best bet in 2017…if you’re ready for the challenge of winning new customers!, Hill noted.

Louisville Manufactured Housing Show Expands to Meet Industry Needs

2017 Louisville Manufactured Housing Show Set for January 18-20, 2017

From the 2017 Louisville Manufactured Housing Show website:

The need for insightful, accurate and forward-looking information about the manufactured Louisville Showhousing industry is the driving force behind recently announced plans for the 2017 Manufactured Housing Show in Louisville, KY. The 2017 Show will be held January 18-20 at the Kentucky Exposition Center and will feature more homes on display, along with more efficient space for service and supplier exhibits. An expanded schedule providing a full range of educational seminars is also being added to the 2017 program to offer greater business opportunities to attendees.

The Show is sponsored by the Midwest Housing Federation, including its five member organizations: the Illinois Manufactured Housing Association, the Indiana Manufactured Housing Association, the Kentucky Manufactured Housing Institute, the Michigan Manufactured Housing Association, and the Ohio Manufactured Homes Association.

Leaders of the industry’s retail, builders/developers, installation, and community management sectors will share their experiences and knowledge about all levels of affordable homes, from HUD-Code homes to spectacular systems-built housing.

l17-logo-large200“The Louisville Show has seen a significant evolution into the manufactured housing industry’s premier indoor housing forum, drawing an ever-increasing turnout from more than 842 different companies across all sectors of the housing industry,” says Dennis Hill, Show Coordinator. “Positive feedback and input from attendees is helping us ensure that the 2017 Show will be even better and offer attendees outstanding opportunities to benefit directly from their overall Show experience. With the Show scheduled the first month of 2017, it will ensure that inventory will be delivered in time for the early selling season and that everyone can be ready for the start of warm weather sales.”

As an added benefit, the 2017 Show will feature a much wider range of educational seminars tailored to provide real learning opportunities that directly improve business strategies and marketing outreach efforts. “What we’re doing with the 2017 Show is to spread the seminars and workshops from just two days to all three days of the Show, along with moving the seminars from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. each day,” stated Ken Rishel, director of Rishel Consulting Group LLC and chairman of the Show’s educational programming. “This change will give us a total of 6 seminars/workshops during the Show and give attendees more time to visit and see the homes and exhibits, while also allowing us to provide more meaningful and relevant information to attendees.”

The seminars will also focus on bringing in “more outside-the-industry” experts who can provide really important information on key initiatives that attendees need to adopt to be more successful in their day-to-day business activities,” Rishel noted. “We’ll move from the basics of marketing and advertising on the first day of the seminar schedule, to sales and financing strategies on the second day, to the third day’s look at what national issues and trends the industry needs to anticipate and incorporate to be more successful. “Our ultimate goal with the seminars and workshops is to expand our industry’s education and adoption of smarter business strategies in order to expand and accelerate our successes in the housing marketplace,” Rishel stated.

The 2017 Show will be held at the Kentucky Exposition Center, with the Crowne Plaza Hotel serving at the Show headquarters hotel. “With the Louisville Airport a mere 3 minutes from the Exposition Center, there is not a more convenient show site,” Hill noted. “The people attending the Louisville Manufactured Housing Show are motivated to purchase homes and services,” Hill stated. “They have invested their time and money to be part of this unique show and they are decision-makers or have the ear of decision-makers. And January is the perfect time to get the industry’s new sales year started. They are ready to do business and you need to be there!”

The Show’s ongoing enhancement activities and initiatives will be announced as developments occur. The Show’s new web site at will include all relevant information and registration instructions beginning in early July, along with regularly updated announcements regarding exhibits, seminars and other Show-related items in industry publications and informational platforms.
