MHVillage recently expanded our standard Market Service Areas for Professionals. This improves how search results are calculated for Retailers, Brokers, Communities and some Home Listings. Basically, these changes effect which searches will include your Dealership or Broker page, and where your business and listings will rank in a particular city.
We’ve made it easy to see exactly what geography your Market Service Area includes. We’ve also enabled you to upgrade and enlarge your Marketing Service Area even further to match where you do business and to include the markets where you want to advertise and promote your business.
To see your new current Market Service Area and to determine if enlarging it will improve your business results, simply log into your MHVillage account and select “Update Your Account Information” in the “Account Management” section on the right side of the page.
Then click the Blue tab on the right labeled: “Market Area”, and you’ll see a map that looks like this:
The shaded square is your current Market Service Area and where a buyer searching for a Retailer will find your business. If a particular city is not within the shaded square where you do business, simply enlarge your Market Service Area by selecting one of the Pro+ accounts from the buttons on the right. Make sure the shaded area covers all the cities you wish to advertise and do business in. If you don’t see a specific city on the map, just zoom in or drag the map left/right.
You now control where your business is advertised and promoted on MHVillage!
In addition to determining where your retail center is advertised on MHVillage, your Market Service Area affects two other important aspects of your lead generation plan:
- Homes (New or Used) that you’ve listed as being “On Dealer Lot” will now display throughout your entire Market Service Area. Since these homes can be delivered and sited anywhere in your Market Service Area, you can now advertise them throughout that entire market area.
- The Ideal Home and FSBO sales leads that are sent free of charge to Pro+ accounts are determined by the chosen Market Service Area.
Please note: Changes to your Market Service Area will take up to a day to appear in all the search results.
